The Tweeddale was originally produced by J&A Davidson established in 1820 in Coldstream by the River Tweed in the Scottish Borders. In May 2010 it was recreated using the original "recipe" by Alasdair Day the Great Grandson of the former owner.

This Lowland Single Malt Scotch Whisky was aged 14 years in an ex bourbon barrel that previously contained an Islay malt. It is the youngest of the 8 component malt whiskies that make up batch 4 of The Tweeddale blend.

Tasting notes:
Nose: Very light floral nose with hints apple blossom and honey but with a wee hint of smoke.
Palate: Creamy palate with notes of lavender and allspice. Hints of toasted oak and right at the end a whiff of peat smoke.
Finish: Floral, spicy finish with toasted oak and peat smoke.
Overall: Floral and fruity with a background of light peat smoke.
