The Tweeddale was originally produced by J&A Davidson established in 1820 in Coldstream by the River Tweed in the Scottish Borders. In May 2010 it was recreated using the original "recipe" by Alasdair Day the Great Grandson of the former owner.

It is a blend of 9 Scotch Whiskies, one Grain Whisky and 8 Malt Whiskies from the Lowlands, Highlands, Speyside and 1 Islay. All drawn from single casks. The youngest whisky in the blend is 14 years old and the oldest is a 21 year old Speyside.

Tasting notes:
Nose: Warm apples, malt loaf and a few grassy notes. A subtle whiff of smoke and a squeeze of sweet lemon.
Palate: A jolt of sweetness that is soon balanced with a good helping of peppery spice and perhaps ginger. More peat, too.
Finish: Long and warming.
Overall: Very well balanced, hitting all the right notes.
