While travelling around Peru, I stumbled across a small museum in Cusco which had on display a large collection of charm like objects. These would be bought to a place of worship to represent a wish for healing or a blessing, which is why some of the objects take the form of parts of the body, representing the part needing healing. There may be other representations and ideas connected to this tradition, but this is what I was told at the time I collected my research. I found them so intriguing, and fell in love with them! I hope you like them too and that they bring wonderous luck to every home they reach!
